To create a digital campaign, supporting the launch of Tottenham Hotspur’s retro kit collection.
What We Did
To support the launch of Tottenham Hotspur’s retro collection of shirts dating back to the 1961 season, we executed an online campaign.
First of all, we created the campaign title ‘Proud Then, Proud Always’. The sentiment of this refers to the club’s rich heritage and proud history. It also nods to the club’s current and future status as an ambitious team on the rise.
We designed a range of static and animated digital assets to be used online and across social media. Graphic patterns, such as repeated chevrons, are inspired by design features of the retro range. Campaign colours take reference from Spurs’ eclectic mix of home & away jersey colours.
Supporting the graphic assets, we also executed a lifestyle shoot. We shot authentic football fans ‘in-the-moment’ gathered around typical pre-match areas – for instance the pub, the streets and cafes.
In conjunction with the graphic designs, we referenced moments of the club’s proud heritage, shown as little stories throughout the campaign. For example, remembering top goal-scorers who wore a particular shirt in a given season.
Combining the assets, we produced an energetic promo video showcasing the range, whilst evoking nostalgia within Tottenham Hotspur fans all around the world!
