VM & Display Show 2019 Review
The VM & Display Show 2019 had something for everyone…
Metallic mannequins, floral displays and tried & tested neon lights. Even a giant furry blue bouncy castle and graphics that smell of the summer. What’s not to like?!
Print company, VGL, have created scented graphics and we’re in love with them! They recently produced strawberry scented graphics and installed them at Oxford Circus Tube Station to coincide with the launch of new Beefeater Pink Gin. (As if gin could get any better?) Infused with scented microcapsules, the graphics were both digitally and screen printed so as passengers walked through the station they smelt the aroma of strawberries. – A great way to immerse customers into the Beefeater brand and its new product!
Whilst we were blown-away with an array of exhibits and new technologies, here are our top 5 displays from the exhibition:
A family-run screen and digital print company with a reputation for quality and innovation.
Offering holistic visual marketing for sustainable & impactful window displays.
Designing and producing lights from striking signs to branded neon, based in the UK.
A German start-up that produces electrified display systems and magnetic visual merchandise.
Delivering beautifully crafted Kraft paper furniture.
One particular prominent trend throughout the show was the experimentation of colour. A craze driven by the snap-happy Generation Z seeking the next instagramable moment, the show was packed with enough vibrant prints and bold retail concepts to seduce any selfie-seeking instagram king or queen!
The show reaffirmed that brick-and-mortar stores are still at the forefront of consumer interaction, as retailers look to use physical spaces as flexible playgrounds to engage with customers – utilising the latest technologies and exciting displays to bring their brand, service & product experiences to life.
