Nike Brand Experience - Narrative

Nike | Equality

Earlier in the year, Nike released their ‘Equality’ campaign.  It is a brave & striking piece of communication, and one we feel will resonate throughout America and beyond for many years to come.  This brand experience is one of our favourites.

A subtle response and reflection to the on-going affairs and divides in America since Donald Trump was elected into the White House, but without stating directly that the ad is about him. The campaign has more emphasis on the concept of unity & opportunity, demonstrated through sports. Despite the strong message the ad conveys, the striking visuals that represent the concept of there being no boundaries, complimented by the simplicity of the campaign line and its black and white aesthetic, creates an attainable aspect to the commercial.

As well as creating awareness through the campaign, the influence is to donate and get involved with ‘equality’ by donating to charity organisations championing equality.
