Fancy a quick trip to Thailand?
In among the hustle and bustle of Nottingham city centre lies a restaurant that transports you straight to Bangkok, No passport required.
The minute the doors open to Zaap you are instantly surrounded by the buzz, excitement, smells and sounds of being in an open air street food market on the other side of the world. A visual feast for the eyes. Brightly coloured Tuk Tuks adorned with bunting and advertising are dotted around housing customers. A train track runs through the restaurant with a full size train bursting through the back wall, lights flashing, windscreen wipers going non-stop!
Pots, pans, hats, mats, t-shirts, bikes, trinkets and gifts all hang from the walls. The ceiling is a glow with neon signs, lights and old tin canopies . Old TVs, radios, dressers, chest of drawers all add to the drama and theatre, whilst building an authentic Thai experience.
There is not an inch of space that hasn’t been considered. This place is truly amazing.
And then, after you’ve digested all of the surroundings, you are faced with an extensive, delicious menu. All of which is cooked before you in the open kitchen. Yet another treat for eyes, nose and (most importantly) belly!
A brilliant experience. We will definitely be going back.
