Envy was getting tired, an unloved brand of the 80’s. Mynt was commissioned to design and build a new flagship store in Plymouth. We questioned a bunch of 18-24 year olds in the target category and it was clear that they loved technology and music. It is never practical to implement real technology as it becomes obsolete so quickly, the i-phone doesn’t have quite the same appeal it did 6 months ago. Instead we developed a theme, using technology as an abstract by using pixelation patterns and futuristic celluar shapes. The music reference could be found in the changing rooms were customer get 6 buttons to choose their preferred tune. This design concept has been extremely well recieved and is now been rolled out across all UK stores.
